NC holding Parliamentary Party meeting today

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC), the main opposition party, is gearing up for the upcoming budget session as it is holding a parliamentary party meeting today.

The Nepali Congress has called for the meeting to deliberate on the party’s strategic stance during the budget session set to commence on Friday.

Scheduled to take place at 2 pm in the Lhotse Hall of the Parliament Building in New Baneswor, the meeting aims to chart a course for the party’s engagement in the legislative proceedings, party sources said.

In a reflection of ongoing concerns, the agenda is anticipated to include discussions on the demand for the formation of a parliamentary committee to probe Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane’s involvement in the misappropriation of cooperative funds, a matter which the Nepali Congress has vocally raised in previous sessions.

The parliamentary party meeting is also poised to serve as a platform for the Nepali Congress party to outline its agenda and priorities, setting the tone for its parliamentary endeavors in the upcoming session.
