14 injured in RPP protest in Kathmandu



KATHMANDU: Fourteen demonstrators associated with the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) were injured in clashes with the police during a protest.

The RPP organized street protests to press for the fulfillment of their 40-point demands submitted to the government earlier.

According to the Kathmandu Police, 14 demonstrators were injured, and two others were taken into police custody today.

The protest, originating from Bhrikutimandap and heading towards Bhadrakali en route to Singhadbar, faced police intervention, leading to clashes.

Police used water cannons, tear gas, and baton charges to disperse the protesters, citing violations of restricted areas.
