Hong Kong secures victory over Nepal by 73 runs in Friendship Cup showdown



KATHMANDU: In a riveting Friendship Cup match on Saturday, Hong Kong, China emerged victorious over Nepal by a margin of 73 runs.

Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, Nepal managed to restrict Hong Kong to 212 runs for the loss of six wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

Babar Hayat’s outstanding performance stood out as he scored a remarkable century, accumulating 110 runs with an impressive display of 13 sixes.

In pursuit of the challenging target, Nepal faced formidable opposition and was eventually bowled out for 139 runs in 16.4 overs, losing all their wickets in the process.
