NEPSE surges by 20.62 points; closes at 2080.12 on Tuesday



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnessed a significant surge, increasing by 36.57 points on Tuesday, the third trading day of the week.

The market closed at 2080.12 points.

The market had increased by 36.57 points yesterday in comparison to the previous trading day, to stand at 2059.42 points.

In harmony with the increase in the NEPSE index, the day saw a growth in trading volume as well. While the previous day saw transactions worth NPR 4.67 billion, Tuesday witnessed deals amounting to  6,118,317,866 rupees.

When 165 companies saw an increase, 77 saw a decline in their value, while 5 remained stable in the stock market today.
