JHAPA: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the Damak Business Complex built at Damak in Jhapa district was a model of modern development endeavors.

Inaugurating the 18-storied building amid a massive public participation on Sunday, the PM said operation of this business complex would create employment opportunities and promote tourism of this region.

Arguing that such high-rise buildings are built even in developed countries for economic resources and identity, PM Oli announced to make a modern city to the area of the Damak Business Complex.

Stating that the attempts to subvert the democratic system would be foiled, PM Oli said running the country was not like making baseless accusations on others.

Likewise, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development Prakashman Singh said that the business complex there would contribute to the economic development of that site.

At a programme organized by the Nepali Congress Damak Municipal Committee, DPM Singh said that the government was working to run such properties in a sustainable way.

He was of the view that the government was actively working with a clear roadmap for the operation of such infrastructures.
