Two killed in jeep accident

BAJURA: Two people have died and three others have sustained injuries when a Scorpio jeep met with an accident at Martadi, the headquarters of Bajura district, today.

The jeep (Su Pa Pra 01 001 Cha 4316) was carrying pilgrims returning from Malika Temple at Badimalika Municipality-8.

The deceased are 31-year-old Gayatri Panta of Bhimdatta Municipality-17, and Radhika Bhatta of Bhimdatta Municipality-18, Kanchanpur district.

Panta died on the spot while Bhatta died while undergoing treatment at a health facility, said the District Police Office.

Those injured in the accident are 25-year-old Ramesh Dhami of Gaumul rural municipality-4, Bajura district, and Mohandev Bhatta of Gularia, Krishnapur-5 and 39-year-old Lokendra Panta of Bhimdatta Municipality-17, Kanchanpur district.

The injured ones are undergoing treatment at the District Hospital Bajura.
Meanwhile, seven people were injured when a jeep met an accident at Himali rural municipality in the north-east region of Bajura district today.

The accident took place at Dhima of the same rural municipality.

The jeep was carrying 13 people who were there to install the internet services of Everest Internet.
The accident occurred as the jeep driver lost control of the vehicle, the District Police Office Bajura stated. The injured ones have been rescued and taken to Kolti Hospital for treatment.
