Rabi Lamichhane’s custody extended by another four days

POKHARA: The Kaski District Court has approved the extension of detention for Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane for an additional four days.

Lamichhane was presented in court on Sunday by the Kaski District Police Office for further investigation into his involvement in the Suryadarshan Cooperative fraud case.

In addition to the Suryadarshan case, Lamichhane has provided statements regarding his alleged roles in the frauds of other cooperatives, including the Supreme Cooperative of Butwal, Swarnalaxmi Cooperative of Kathmandu, and Sahara Chitwan Cooperative in Chitwan.

Authorities are now preparing to take him to Parsa for investigation into the Sano Paila Cooperative fraud.

Former DIG Chhabilal Banjade Joshi is also in custody alongside Lamichhane.
