Govt decisions from recent Cabinet meetings



KATHMANDU: The government has disclosed the decisions taken during the Cabinet meetings held on August 6 and 7.

Communication Minister and government spokesperson, Prithvi Subba Gurung, presented the 14 decisions made by the Cabinet.

Highlights from August 6 Cabinet Meeting:

Secretary Transfers:

Udaya Raj Sapkota: Transferred from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission to the Ministry of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs.

Phanindra Gautam: Transferred from the Ministry of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.

Financial Approvals:

$20 million aid and $10 million loan from the Asian Development Bank.

£38.8 million grant from the British government.

Promotions within the Nepal Army:

One Brigadier General promoted to Major General.

Four Colonels promoted to Brigadier General.

One Lieutenant Colonel promoted to Colonel.

One acting Colonel promoted to Colonel.
