Jajarkot jeep accident: Death toll reaches two

JAJARKOT: The death toll in a jeep accident in Jajarkot on Wednesday has risen to two.

80-year-old Kaliman Khatri of Bheri Municipality-6, who was seriously injured in the accident, has died while undergoing treatment at Karnali Province Hospital in Surkhet.

The accident occurred at 3 p.m. on Wednesday when a Bolero jeep, Ga 1 Ja 7711, traveling from Khanalga to Neta Bazar in Bheri Municipality-6, met with an accident.

34-year-old Man Bahadur Wali of Bheri Municipality-6, the jeep driver, died on the spot.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Purushottam Prasad Pandey of the District Police Office Jajarkot reported that the jeep fell 400 meters off the road.

The injured are receiving treatment at the District Hospital in Jajarkot.
