Weather today: Rain likely in Kathmandu and various parts of country

KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has indicated the influence of local and western winds across Nepal.

According to the division, partial to moderate cloud cover is currently observed over the Bagmati and Koshi provinces, as well as other hilly regions of the country.

This afternoon, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in a few places elsewhere.

There is a possibility of rain in the Kathmandu Valley this afternoon.

Additionally, some areas in Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces may experience gusty winds.

Tonight, partial to moderate cloud cover is expected in the hilly regions, including Koshi Province, while the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to mainly clear skies.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is anticipated in some parts of Koshi Province and a few areas in other provinces.
