T20 World Cup: Afghanistan sets 160-run target for New Zealand



KATHMANDU: Afghanistan set a target of 160 runs for New Zealand in the ICC T20 World Cup, scoring 159 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.

New Zealand won the toss and chose to field first, putting Afghanistan in to bat.

For Afghanistan, opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored a brilliant half-century.

He made 80 runs off 56 balls, hitting 5 sixes and 5 fours.

The other opener, Ibrahim Zadran, contributed 44 runs off 41 balls, with 3 fours and 2 sixes.

The openers shared a 100-run partnership in 80 balls for the first wicket.
