KATHMANDU: Jhalanath Khanal, the senior leader of United Socialist Party, has unequivocally refuted rumors suggesting an imminent split within the party.

Issuing a statement issued on Wednesday, Khanal urged party members not to be swayed by misinformation, asserting that the party remains unified despite challenges posed by recent split in the Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal.

“There are rumors that the United Socialist Party is facing attempts at division. The unfounded rumor alleging my involvement in splitting the parliamentary party with 6 MPs has spread rapidly, orchestrated by nefarious elements with ulterior motives,” Khanal said.

He added, “This deliberate propaganda has sown confusion within our ranks.”

Khanal has urged the party leaders and cadres to remain vigilant against such malicious propaganda by reactionary forces, opportunists, and those opposed to our party’s ideals.

“Instead, let us rally behind our collective cause, bolster our support for the current trajectory, and unite in readiness for the upcoming party convention,” he urged.
