JSP-N split was instigated in my absence: Upendra Yadav

KATHMANDU: Upendra Yadav, Chairman of the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal, has alleged that the party was unlawfully split while he was abroad, shedding light on the circumstances surrounding his departure.

Speaking at a press conference held at the party’s central office in Balkumari on Wednesday, Yadav expressed, “The party underwent an unconstitutional split during my absence. Driven by personal ambitions, this divide was instigated.”

He emphasized, “Mere gatherings of two or four individuals cannot legitimize a party split. The party was fractured by those temporarily assuming chairmanship, motivated by personal agendas.”

Yadav further said that the registration process of the splinter group is flawed. Upholding law and political ethics, our journey as a party will persist, he added.

JSP-Nepal Chairman Yadav disclosed that he had a general discussion with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda regarding the party split.

He clarified, “My interaction with the Prime Minister centered on the split in my party. No further developments occurred beyond that.”
