Suhang Nemwang takes oath as Member of Parliament



KATHMANDU: CPN-UML’s Suhang Nemwang, who emerged victorious in the by-election in Ilam Constituency-2 on April 27, took oath as the Member of Parliament today.

His swearing-in ceremony was held at Singha Durbar this morning.

It should be noted that Nemwang secured his victory in Ilam-2 with 27,772 votes, defeating his closest competitor, Dambar Bahadur Khadka of Nepali Congress, who garnered 21,942 votes.

Nemwang’s triumph over Khadka marked a substantial margin of 5,780 votes.
