CM Karki of Koshi Province calls for parliament session on May 24

KATHMANDU: The next parliament session of Koshi Province has been scheduled for May 24.

The Koshi provincial government has recommended to the Province Chief to convene the budget session on May 24.

This recommendation coincides with the ruling alliance’s efforts to change leadership in the province.

CM Karki, initially appointed with the support of CPN-UML, lost his majority after UML and CPN (Maoist Center) withdrew their support from the government today.

Additionally, both UML and Maoist Center have asserted their claim to establish a new government in the province, asserting their majority support.
