KATHMANDU: In the latest T20 International rankings by the International Cricket Council (ICC), Nepali cricketers have showcased notable improvements, particularly in batting and all-round performances.
In terms of batting rankings, Rohit Paudel has surged 36 places, now securing the 54th position.
Following Rohit, India’s Ishan Kishan is at 55th, Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza at 60th, and India’s Shubman Gill at 65th.
Deependra Singh Airee, representing Nepal, has climbed 31 places in the batting rankings, securing the 70th position.
Bangladesh’s Afif Hossain and Namibia’s JJ Smith also share the 70th position, with all three players accumulating 445 points.
In the all-round category, Dipendra Singh Airee has made a significant leap by improving 48 places, now standing at the 27th position.
Kushal Malla has improved 27 places, securing the 35th position.
Sri Lanka’s Dhananjaya de Silva shares the 35th position with Malla, accumulating 94 points.
All-rounder Gulshan Jha has advanced 22 places, now holding the 72nd position.
Papua New Guinea’s Sese Bau, Ireland’s Barry McCarthy, and West Indies’ Kyle Mayers also share the 72nd position, each accumulating 49 points.
In the all-round category, Karan KC has improved 24 places, securing the 81st position.
In a remarkable development, all-rounder Rohit Paudel has made an impressive leap, improving 88 places and securing the 92nd position.
However, no Nepali player has yet cracked the top 100 in the bowling rankings.
In the T20 International rankings, Nepal stands at the 16th position with a rating of 175 points.
UAE is at 17th with 174 points, and ahead of Nepal, the Netherlands holds the 15th position with 184 points.
In ODI all-round rankings, Nepali cricketer Kushal Bhurtel has improved one position, now standing at the 77th position.
Aasif Sheikh is at 73rd, and Rohit Paudel is at 95th.
Deependra Singh Airee has made strides in the ODI batting rankings, improving one place and securing the 63rd position.
Sompal Kami is at 80th, and Lalit Rajbanshi is at 54th in the ODI bowling rankings, each maintaining their respective positions.
In the ODI all-round category, Dipendra Singh Airee has improved 46 places, now holding the 46th position.
Sompal Kami is at 55th, and Kushal Malla is at 51st.
