Agent arrested as three women denied entry to UAE on visit visa

KATHMANDU: Three women attempting to enter the United Arab Emirates on visit visas have been barred from entry, leading to the arrest of their agent, Bhabilal Thapa from Rupandehi.

The Security Office at Tribhuvan International Airport disclosed that after questioning the women and the agent, authorities withheld permission for their departure.

The incident unfolded as the women endeavored to travel to Dubai via Himalayan Airlines on Thursday night.

Police have indicated the involvement of such networks in facilitating Nepali citizens to travel abroad on visit visas, luring them with enticing job prospects and monetary incentives.

Recent reports have highlighted instances where Nepali youths initially entered Dubai on visit visas, only to later enlist in the Russian Army with the assistance of agents.
