Ruling coalition will continue for next four years: UML Chair Oli

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli has announced his commitment to maintaining the current ruling coalition for four years. Addressing CPN-UML Secretariat members on Friday, Oli expressed satisfaction with what he said “achieved success”, attributing it to the hard work invested in overcoming challenges from rival factions, particularly the Nepali Congress-led alliance.

CPN-UML urges all parties to support coalition government

The ruling CPN-UML has urged political parties to participate in the current government led by Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda. A meeting of the party’s Secretariat meeting held at the party central office in Chyasal this morning, decided to appeal to other parties for their support in the five-party government.

Ilam by-election: RSP to contest independently despite coalition at center

Despite being in the ruling coalition comprising CPN-UML, Maoist Center, and Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) at the center, RSP has decided to contest the by-election in Ilam Constituency-2 independently. RSP Chairman Rabi Lamichhane has announced that his party will contest the election independently in Ilam-2, scheduled for April 28.
