KATHMANDU: The air around Pashupatinath Temple is filled with spirituality and devotion as thousands of visitors and devotees from far and wide flock to partake in the vibrant celebrations of Maha Shivaratri.

In the early hours of Friday morning, the temple grounds became a bustling hub of activity, with people coming together to honor this auspicious occasion.

According to Rewanirman Adhikari, spokesperson of the Pashupatinath Area Development Trust (PADT), the temple has already welcomed over 100,000 pilgrims, with the anticipation of hosting a staggering 2 million during the festival period.
