PM Dahal lauds Nepal Army’s glorious contribution to national unity



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has stated that the Nepal Army (NA) has made a glorious contribution to national unity, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the independence of the country.

He paid heartfelt tributes to all NA personnel who lost their lives at different times for the sake of the country and its people.

In a message of best wishes on the occasion of the 261st establishment day of the Nepal Army today, Prime Minister Dahal expressed that Nepal is committed to ensuring the security of its people and the country by carrying out constitutional responsibilities in an impeccable manner.

He also expressed confidence that the NA would continue to perform positively by taking into account the historic scenario and acutely analyzing unfolding situations and future threats.

In the message, the Prime Minister appreciated the image the NA has built for international peacekeeping, disaster management, nature conservation, development works, and election security with valor and professionalism.

Similarly, on the same occasion, Defense Minister Hari Uprety issued a statement praising the role the NA has played since its establishment.
