NPL: Karnali Yaks edge past Biratnagar Kings by 7 runs



KATHMANDU: Karnali Yaks secured a thrilling victory over Biratnagar Kings in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) on Saturday.

Karnali Yaks claimed their second consecutive win with an outstanding performance from Nandan Yadav, whose economical bowling played a key role in the triumph.

Biratnagar lost to Karnali by 7 runs in the second match on Saturday.

Karnali has now won 2 matches and lost 2 out of 4 in the NPL. With 4 points, they are currently in fourth place on the table.

Biratnagar, having won 1 and lost 3 out of 4 matches, sits in seventh place with 2 points.

Chasing a target of 134 runs set by Karnali, Biratnagar could only manage 126 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

Biratnagar suffered their third defeat as Nandan Yadav held his nerve, conceding just 7 runs in the final over when 15 runs were required to win.
