PM Oli asks civil servants to keep record of corrupt leaders

Prime Minister KP Oli has urged civil servants to help shape Nepal into a ‘non-corrupt’ nation by providing efficient services and avoiding involvement in corrupt practices.

On the occasion of the 21st Civil Service Day, Prime Minister Oli emphasized that corruption is akin to stealing from the entire country simultaneously.

He stressed the importance of not participating in corrupt activities, stating, “Corruption is a crime that cannot happen without your involvement. Record the activities of corrupt leaders. Leaders who say one thing but do another should not be condoned or excused.”

Nepal-India issues can be resolved through open dialogue: PM

Prime Minister KP Oli has voiced his confidence that the ongoing issues between Nepal and India can be addressed through open and tolerant dialogue.

Speaking at the launch of ‘International Watercourses Law: A Perspective on Nepal-India Cooperation,’ authored by former administrator Surya Nath Upadhyay at the PM residence today, Oli acknowledged that while there are some issues between the two nations, they are not numerous.

He noted that the Eminent Persons Group (EPG) was established by mutual agreement between the two Prime Ministers to address these concerns.

PM Oli confers awards on 40 civil servants

Prime Minister (PM) KP Oli handed over the Civil Servant Awards to 40 government employees on the occasion of the 21st Civil Service Day at Singh Darbar today.

PM Oli conferred the awards announced last year on the civil servants on the occasion of the 20th Civil Service Day.

He handed over 10 Best Civil Service Awards and 30 Civil Service Awards with letters of appreciation.

No alternative to socialism: Prachanda

One person dies after drowning in pond in Dhangadhi

A man in his 30s drowned in a pond in Dhangadhi on Saturday afternoon.

District Police Office Spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kabindrasingh Baehra reported that the unidentified victim was found in Netuwa Lake in Bishalnagar-3.

Constitution Day to be observed with special events

The government has planned to celebrate the Constitution Day (national day), 2081 in a special manner with a variety of events for three days.

Asoj 3 in the Lunar calendar is observed as the Constitution Day every year to commemorate the promulgation of the Constitution of Nepal on Asoj 3, 2072 BS (September 20, 2015).

For observing the day in a grand manner, a main celebration committee has been constituted under the leadership of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, with various sub-committees under it to oversee various aspects of the events to be held during the occasion.
