UML holding Parliamentary Party meeting today

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML is holding a meeting of its parliamentary party (PP) today to discuss its strategy following the withdrawal of support to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.

The meeting to be held at 10 am in the Lhotse Hall of the Parliament Building will be attended by its parliamentarians, the party said.

Chief Whip Mahesh Bartaula stated that the meeting aims to discuss the UML’s role in the upcoming House session, which convenes today.

After forging an agreement with the main opposition, Nepali Congress (NC), the UML leadership plans to brief party lawmakers on the strategy to defend their recent political moves.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Dahal is set to seek a vote of confidence on July 12.
