KATHMANDU: The Parliamentary Special Committee investigating the misuse of cooperative savings has decided to retrieve all reports related to past cooperative investigations.
During its second meeting held on Friday at Singha Durbar, the Special Committee decided to request the relevant parties to immediately provide the reports from previously formed committees and commissions of inquiry on cooperative investigations.
Chair Surya Thapa informed that a decision was made to issue letters to all concerned parties, asking them to submit reports from all past investigation committees and commissions by June 16.
The meeting also began discussions on the draft procedures for the Special Committee. To finalize these procedures, the committee decided to hold further discussions with the task force coordinator and members to clarify the terms of reference. The next meeting is scheduled for June 16.
Members agreed to study the proposal prepared by the secretariat and provide written suggestions in the upcoming meeting on June 16.
The Special Committee emphasized that thorough discussions are necessary to finalize the procedures, as these will be the primary basis for the committee’s work.
