KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court (SC) hearing on the writ petition filed by Upendra Yadav against the split of Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal has been kept under consideration.
The case was placed under consideration after the hearing before the division bench of Justices Hari Prasad Phuyal and Til Prasad Shrestha remained inconclusive on Friday.
On May 5, seven lawmakers from JSP Nepal, led by Ashok Rai, formed a new party, Janata Samajbadi Party, defying the leadership of Yadav.
Following the Election Commission’s recognition of the party led by Rai, JSP Nepal Chairman Upendra Yadav moved to the court.
