Ireland Wolves sets formidable target of 285 runs for Nepal ‘A’



KATHMANDU: Ireland Wolves, after winning the toss and electing to bat first, have established a commanding target of 285 runs for Nepal ‘A’ to chase in the final match of the ODI series.

During their innings at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Stephen Doheny led the charge with a brilliant century, scoring 107 runs for the Irish team.

Additionally, PJ Moor contributed 44 runs, while M Humphreys added 23 more runs to bolster the team’s total.

On the bowling front, Rijan Dhakal and Ranjit Kumar shone with three wickets each, while Bikash Aagri and Shahab Alam secured one wicket each for Nepal ‘A’.

Having already secured victories in two out of three matches, the Irish team has sealed the ODI series title. Nepal ‘A’ faced defeat in the series after losing by 21 runs in the first match and a significant 114 runs in the second match against Ireland Wolves.

Moreover, Ireland Wolves had previously claimed the T20 series title against Nepal ‘A’ in recent matches.
