Nepal to face Gujarat in SMS Friendship Cup finals today

KATHMANDU: Nepal is gearing up for a thrilling showdown against Gujarat in the finals of the SMS Friendship Cup, set to take place in Vapi, India.

Gujarat, despite two attempts in this T20 tri-series, has been unable to best Nepal, suffering defeat on both occasions.

In their previous encounter, Nepal faced a setback, succumbing to a 37-run loss against Baroda.

However, their earlier form remains formidable, notably defeating Gujarat convincingly by eight wickets in the inaugural match of the SMS Friendship Cup.

In the subsequent matches, Nepal displayed remarkable prowess, securing victories over Baroda by 27 runs and Gujarat by eight runs, respectively.

With this stellar performance, Nepal has secured a spot in the finals even before concluding its final group stage match.

Anticipation is high as Nepal prepares to take on Gujarat once again, aiming to maintain their winning streak and clinch the coveted SMS Friendship Cup title.
