NEPSE records double-digit surge as new Finance Minister takes office



KATHMANDU: The recent appointment of Finance Minister Barshaman Pun has sparked positive momentum in the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE).

The first trading day following Pun’s assumption of office has seen a notable upswing in market enthusiasm.

NEPSE witnessed a robust double-digit improvement on Wednesday, with a rise of 51 points, reaching a total of 2030.55 points.

Today’s trading session involved the exchange of 8,929,151 shares among 309 companies, resulting in transactions totaling Rs 3,199,205,820.

Investors have responded optimistically to the new Finance Minister, actively participating in share transactions.

This positive trend is anticipated to contribute to market stability in the coming days.
