New Secretary-General of Federal Parliament Pandey sworn in



KATHMANDU: On Wednesday, the newly appointed Secretary-General of the Federal Parliament Secretariat took the oath of office and secrecy, marking the official commencement of his duties.

Pandey’s appointment to the position was made by President Ramchandra Paudel on Tuesday.

The oath ceremony, held at the Federal Parliament building, was administered by Speaker of the Parliament Dev Raj Ghimire.

Among the dignitaries present at the event were Ganesh Prasad Timalsina, Chairman of the National Assembly, Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Dhan Raj Gurung, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Deputy Speaker of Parliament Indira Rana, and Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly Urmila Aryal.

The Office of the President issued an official notice on Tuesday announcing Pandey’s appointment to the esteemed position of Secretary-General, which is considered the highest administrative role within the parliament.

His appointment aligns with the provisions outlined in Article 106 (1) of the Constitution.
