KATHMANDU: A meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) is taking place today at 11 am in the Parliament Building, New Baneswor, addressing various crucial matters.
In today’s meeting, Minister of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, Dhanraj Gurung, is scheduled to present a proposal for the discussion of the bill focused on the prevention of money laundering and the promotion of the business environment, alongside the Human Rights Committee’s report.
Furthermore, the Parliament Secretariat has stated that there is an additional agenda to propose the passage of the same bill during today’s meeting.
The House of Representatives is also slated to pass a condolence resolution for the demise of Keshav Kumar Budhathoki, a central member of the Nepali Congress and a former minister.
Additionally, a program is scheduled to propose the passage of Bill 2080, which seeks to amend laws related to the prevention of money laundering and the promotion of the business environment.
As per the Parliament calendar, today’s meeting includes topics such as party-based opinions and a direct question-and-answer session with the Prime Minister.
