Krishna Sitaula to secure ticket to National Assembly from NC

KATHMANDU: Krishna Sitaula’s candidacy for the National Assembly (NA) from Nepali Congress has been confirmed.

Previously defeated by Rajendra Lingden of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) in the parliamentary election, Sitaula is set to secure a seat in the National Assembly from “others’ quota in Koshi Province.

Upon receiving confirmation of his ticket, Sitaula dispatched leaders close to him to Biratnagar on Sunday to finalize the nomination process.

Despite initially securing a ticket from Kathmandu to Biratnagar, he had to cancel his air ticket due to a delayed meeting of Nepali Congress.

Sitaula is expected to fly to Biratnagar on Monday morning to make preparations for the nomination.

An associate close to Sitaula stated, “Krishna Sitaula has been confirmed as a candidate for the National Assembly.”

Sitaula, meanwhile, engaged in a brief conversation with NC leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala at Sanepa on Sunday evening.
