Court orders release of Tootle founder, Shikshit Bhatta



KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu District Court has ordered the release of Shikshit Bhatta, the founder of the ridesharing app Tootle.

Judge Shakuntala Karki issued an order for Bhatta’s temporary release.

The court directed his temporary release on bail, stating that the presented allegations were insufficient to justify his continued custody until the case reaches a conclusion.

Senior advocates Lav Kumar Mainali and Surya Prasad Koirala represented Bhatta during the court proceedings.

Additionally, the court reviewed the evidence and documents presented by the District Police Office in Teku against Bhatta.
