Bagmati Province to establish Project Bank

NUWAKOT: The Bagmati Province government is to establish a Province Project Bank. Bagmati Province Chief Minister Bahadur Singh Lama shared this while addressing the province-level plan formulation seminar organized by the Bagmati Province Policy and Planning Commission.

Chief Minister Lama argued that the ‘project bank’ was necessary for doing away with the tradition of selection of development projects on the basis of access to political power centres rather than local needs.

He expressed the commitment to make laws for setting up the Province Project Bank and to implement the same.

The Chief Minister also expressed his determination to make the Province Policy and Planning Commission high-powered.
