Bhutanese Royal couple making brief stop in Kathmandu today



KATHMANDU: Bhutan King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Queen Jetsun Pema Wangchuck are scheduled to make a short visit to Nepal today.

The royal couple will arrive in Kathmandu after completing their trip to India, where they are set to spend around three to four hours in Kahtmandu.

According to a statement from India’s Ministry of External Affairs, the King and Queen arrived in New Delhi on Thursday morning.

In New Delhi, they met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The couple will spend a few hours in Kathmandu before returning to Bhutan.
