Madhesh Province CM Singh expands Cabinet, appoints five new state ministers

KATHMANDU: Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh of Madhesh Province expanded his Cabinet on Tuesday, appointing five new State Ministers.

The Province Chief administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed ministers.

With these new appointments, the Madhesh Province Cabinet now has 20 members.

CM Singh appointed two State Ministers from the Nepali Congress, one each from the CPN-UML, the Janamat Party, and the Loktantrik Samajbadi Party (LSP).

The new State Ministers and their portfolios are as follows:

Rekha Thakur (Nepali Congress): State Minister for Land Management, Agriculture, and Cooperatives

Nilam Kumari Rajak (Nepali Congress): State Minister for Energy, Irrigation, and Drinking Water

Mohammed Alam (CPN-UML): State Minister for Physical Infrastructure

Ram Babu Yadav (LSP): State Minister for Education and Culture

Shambhu Kumar Sah (Janamat Party): State Minister for Industry, Commerce, and Tourism
