Gold price increases by Rs 2,600 in a week

KATHMANDU: The price of gold in the Nepali market has surged by Rs 2,600 per tola this week.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of hallmark gold, which was Rs 141,800 per tola last Friday, has risen to Rs 144,400 per tola this Friday.

The Federation reports that the price of gold on June 30 was Rs 142,000 per tola, on July 1 it was Rs 142,200, and on July 2 it was Rs 142,300 per tola.

On July 3, the price increased to Rs 142,700 per tola, followed by Rs 144,300 on July 4, and finally reaching Rs 144,400 per tola on July 5.

Similarly, the price of silver, which was Rs 1,790 per tola on June 28, has increased to Rs 1,870 per tola on July 5.
