KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) parliamentary party (PP) is scheduled to meet today to discuss the changed political situation.

According to NC sources, the meeting will be held at 3 pm at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwar.

This is NC’s first PP meeting since the NC and CPN-UML agreed on a new power-sharing arrangement aimed at displacing the government led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.

Following the agreement, UML has withdrawn its support for the government.

Prime Minister Dahal, who has decided not to resign, will face the parliament on July 12 to seek a vote of confidence.
