KATHMANDU: Nepal and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are set to clash in the second leg of the FIFA World Cup 2026 and Asian Cup 2027 second-round qualifiers.

The match, taking place at the Prince Mohammed bin Fayed Stadium in Saudi Arabia, kicks off at 9:45 pm.

Nepal, unable to host international matches at Dashrath Stadium, will represent their nation in Saudi Arabia.

In the previous encounter, Nepal suffered a 4-0 defeat against UAE.

In preparation, Nepal faced Yemen on June 11 in Saudi Arabia, following earlier matches against Bahrain at the same venue due to stadium conditions.

Despite a challenging journey in Group H, Nepal remains determined.

They faced defeats against UAE (4-0) and Yemen (2-0), alongside losses of 5-0 and 3-0 against Bahrain.
