KATHMANDU: The CPN (Unified Socialist) has dismissed reports suggesting an imminent split within the party, asserting that such claims are baseless.
Amidst rumors circulating in the Nepali political landscape following the division of the Upendra Yadav-led Janata Samajbadi Party, similar speculations regarding the Unified Socialist Party have emerged.
On Monday, the party convened a parliamentary meeting, attended by 10 lawmakers from the House of Representatives and eight from the National Assembly.
Lawmaker Sher Bahadur Kuwar, present at the meeting, affirmed that there are no internal disputes or grievances within the party.
“We stand united, stronger than ever, and the rumors of a potential party division are unfounded,” Kuwar stated.
He further clarified, “Reports suggesting our lawmakers are collaborating with other parties to orchestrate a split are also false.”
Kuwar emphasized that the meeting concluded with a commitment to fortify and maintain the unity of the party.
