JSP split averted Unified Socialist’s ‘tremor’: Jhalanath Khanal

KATHMANDU: Senior leader of Unified Socialist Party, Jhalanath Khanal asserted that the split within the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) has halted an impending ‘tremor’ within his own party.

Speaking briefly with Khabarhub today, Khanal emphasized that the likelihood of a party split has diminished.

“Even if our party was on the verge of a tremor, yesterday’s events in JSP acted as a preventive measure,” he stated.

It may be noted that Maoist Center leader and Finance Minister Barshman Pun visited Khanal’s residence on Monday morning.

Following their meeting, Pun disclosed that there were discussions aimed at fortifying the current political alignment.
