KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ urged all oppressed classes, castes, and communities to unite in realizing national objectives.

Speaking at the launch announcement of the Bagmati Province Official Language Act, 2080, and the Language Day 2081 program, Prime Minister Dahal emphasized the importance of identifying true representatives and safeguarding rights.

He underscored that Nepal’s constitutional framework, built on federalism, republicanism, secularism, inclusion, and proportionality, reflects the sacrifices of its people. Prime Minister Dahal stressed the necessity for collective solidarity to finalize the constitution.

He expressed optimism that with persistent efforts, the remaining constitutional rights will be progressively institutionalized.

Highlighting the provision allowing provinces to adopt additional national languages besides Nepali, he applauded the enactment of language regulations by the Bagmati Provincial Assembly.

Prime Minister Dahal also disclosed plans to institutionalize Nepal Sambat in official documents, reiterating his commitment to national identity and pride.

He urged for a bolstering of internal nationalism alongside the assertion of rights, declaring the occasion a moment of pride for those advocating for Nepal’s sovereignty and prosperity.
