Kathmandu likely to witness rainfall this afternoon



KATHMANDU: Meteorologists have forecasted a potential bout of rain in Kathmandu Valley for today.

Sunday evening saw a light drizzle in Kathmandu Valley, hinting at the possibility of further precipitation.

Saroj Pudasaini, a meteorologist from the Weather Forecasting Division, suggested that today might witness light rain in Kathmandu Valley.

According to him, Kathmandu is likely to witness partly to mostly cloudy skies today with a chance of light rain accompanied by thunder or lightning in the afternoon.

His insights indicate that partial cloud cover denotes 26 to 51 percent coverage of the sky by clouds, while general cloud cover ranges from 51 to 75 percent.

The air temperature in the Valley in the morning stood at 18 degrees Celsius with visibility reaching 4500 meters.

Meanwhile, the recorded minimum temperature in Kathmandu Valley this morning was 16.8 degrees Celsius.

The temperature in Kathmandu Valley today is expected to be 28 to 30 degrees Celsius.
