12 candidates registered for the by-elections of Bajhang province assembly



BAJHANG: Twelve candidates have registered for the by-elections of the Province Assembly members in Bajhang.

According to the Chief Election Officer’s office in Bajhang, 12 candidates have registered within the deadline until 5 PM.

Daman Bahadur Bhandari from CPN-UML Abhishek Bahadur Singh from Nepali Congress, Janak Budha from Maoist Center, Dil Bahadur Singh from Unified Socialist Party, Vinod Bahadur Thapa from Rastriya Matribhumi Party, Khagendra Bahadur Shahi from Nepal Workers and Peasants Party, Kamal Ghartimagar from National Republic Nepal, Kishor Kumar Khadka from Rastriya Prajatantra Party, and Ram Bahadur Jagri from Janata Samajwadi Party have registered their candidacy.

Likewise, Ashok Sunar from Nepal Janata Party, Deepak Bahadur Khadka from Sanghiya Loktantrik Rastriya Manch Forum, and Sushila Devi Bista from People’s Socialist Party have registered their candidacy.

The by-election is being held following the demise of Nepali Congress lawmaker Prithvi Bahadur Singh on November 20, 2022.
