Unified Socialist to join Dahal-led coalition government



KATHMANDU: The Unified Socialist led by Madhav Kumar Nepal has decided to join the new coalition government led by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda.

A meeting of the party held on Wednesday morning decided to join the government demanded two ministerial portfolios.

According to a source, the party is likely to get two ministries — Ministry of Federal Affairs, and Ministry of General Administration.

The swearing-in ceremony for the newly-appointed ministers is expected to take place later today.

Additional conditions set by Madhav Kumar Nepal will be subject to further discussions among the leaders, the source said.
