Allocation of ministries almost finalized; oath-taking ceremony likely today



KATHMANDU: The newly-formed ruling coalition, comprising CPN-UML, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and the Maoist Center, has reached a decision regarding the allocation of ministries.

In a meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar, the leaders finalized the distribution of portfolios among the parties.

As a result of this agreement, preparations for the swearing-in ceremony of the ministers have been accelerated. The oath-taking ceremony is likely to take place at 5 pm today.

The division of ministries has been delineated, with the CPN-UML securing 8 ministries, the Maoist Center receiving 5, RSP 4, and Janata Samajwadi Party 2.

Sources close to Baluwatar stated that the ministers have been finalized, and preparations for the oath ceremony are well underway.

The agreement reached during the coalition meeting has established a cohesive framework for the distribution of responsibilities, emphasizing the collaborative spirit of the newly formed alliance, the source added.
