NC President Deuba calls Parliamentary party meeting

KATHMANDU: In the wake of the recent power coalition shift, Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has called a meeting of the parliamentary party to deliberate on the party’s future course of action.

NC leader Sushila Thing stated that the meeting is scheduled to take place on Thursday at 9 am in the Lhotse Hall of the Federal Parliament.

The primary agenda of the meeting is to navigate through the dynamic political landscape following the recent changes in alliances.

The party, in a meeting held yesterday, decided to withdraw support and position the Nepali Congress in the opposition after Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ altered alliances.

Now, with the political landscape in flux, the Nepali Congress is intensifying its efforts to forge an opposition alliance aimed at challenging the government led by Prime Minister Dahal.
