One killed in Hetauda-Pathalaiya road bus accident



HETAUDA: One person, who sustained injuries in a bus accident on the Hetauda-Pathalaiya road section along the East-West Highway on Tuesday, succumbed to injuries during treatment.

The incident occurred on Tuesday in Jitpursimra sub-metropolitan city-22 of Bara, where a bus traveling from Dhangadhi to Biratnagar plunged into the river near the bridge.

As per the information from the area police office in Simara, the identity of the deceased is yet to be confirmed.

Police report that out of the 27 individuals injured in the accident, four are in critical condition.

Superintendent of Police Laxmi Bhandari stated that the injured are currently undergoing treatment at Hetauda Hospital.
