Rabi Lamichhane transferred to Pokhara from Chitwan

KAHTMANDU: Rabi Lamichhane, the Chairman of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), was brought to Pokhara from Chitwan late at night.

After providing a statement to the government prosecutor in the Sahara Chitwan cooperative fraud case, Rabi, a member of the House of Representatives, was transferred back into the custody of Kaski District Police last night.

Kaski Police Spokesperson DSP Basanta Kumar Sharma confirmed that Lamichhane was brought to Pokhara overnight.

After completing his statement at the Government Prosecutor’s Office in Chitwan at 9:30 PM on Wednesday, Rabi was taken into custody by the District Police Office Chitwan before being transported to Pokhara by vehicle.

Lamichhane had previously been in the custody of the Kaski District Police in connection with organized crime and money laundering charges related to the Surya Darshan cooperative fraud case in Pokhara.
