Lumbini Province Chief Minister Acharya to visit China

LUMBINI: Chief Minister of Lumbini Province, Chet Narayan Acharya, is leading a seven-member delegation on an official visit to China to attend an international conference in Sichuan Province from November 11-13.

The visit was approved today at a meeting of the Lumbini Province Government, according to Dinesh Panthi, the provincial government spokesperson and Minister for Agriculture, Land Management, and Cooperatives.

Accompanying the Chief Minister will be Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Dhanendra Karki, Chief Secretary Mahadev Pantha, and other senior officials of the provincial government.

Lumbini Province and Sichuan Province established sisterly ties in 2076 BS with the aim of fostering mutual cooperation and goodwill.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the two provinces to promote collaboration in areas such as agriculture, industry, and tourism.

Spokesperson Panthi noted that high-level discussions will be held during the visit to focus on implementing development plans for Lumbini Province and strengthening bilateral cooperation and collaboration.
