Govt prioritizing relief for flood victims, assures Minister Gurung



KATHMANDU: Communications and Information Technology Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung has assured that the government is prioritizing the needs of flood victims as the nation grapples with the aftermath of devastating floods and landslides.

Speaking at the ‘Tax Training’ program organized by the Fast Food Association Nepal on Saturday, Minister acknowledged the unprecedented challenges faced by the country during this critical time, particularly with the festival season approaching.

“The unimaginable situation faced by the country and its people due to the floods necessitates that state agencies provide all possible support to the victims,” he stated.

The floods have resulted in human casualties, disrupted road networks, and left many citizens homeless.

In response, the government is mobilizing relevant agencies to deliver aid to those affected

. Gurung emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring the smooth operation of transport services during the upcoming Dashain festival, stating that efforts are being made to address obstacles in coordination with the road department.
